About the position

Zynergia HR is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position is pivotal in supporting human resources management services across our family of companies. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, ensuring that responses are communicated in a timely and professional manner. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of HR policies and procedures, as well as the ability to generate official documents such as personnel change forms and warning letters. Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations. The Human Resources Generalist will maintain digital files for employees, manage the anniversary calendar, and communicate monthly with managers regarding employee milestones. Compliance is a critical aspect of this role; therefore, the Generalist will complete I9 and E-Verify compliance and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The position also involves assisting in the creation of job descriptions, salary surveys, HR needs assessments, and employee handbooks. Furthermore, the Generalist will assist with benefits open enrollment as needed and support the Talent Acquisition and Training & Development departments. Presenting internal and external presentations and training courses will also be part of the responsibilities. The role requires utilizing HR systems such as Isolved and Zoho for various HR tasks and resolving conflicts while providing guidance on employee relations matters.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and interprets HR policies and procedures
  • Generates official documents such as personnel change forms and warning letters
  • Creates onboarding plans and educates newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
  • Maintains digital files for employees
  • Maintains anniversary calendar and communicates monthly with managers
  • Completes I9 & E-Verify compliance
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices
  • Assists in the creation of Job Descriptions, Salary Surveys, HR Needs Assessments, and Employee Handbooks
  • Assists with Benefits open enrollment when needed
  • Assists Talent Acquisition & Training & Development departments when needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on HR experience either in consulting or corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Well-versed in current employment laws and regulations (federal and state)
  • High sense of urgency with internal and external clients
  • Strong interviewing skills and experience in recruitment processes
