About the position

The HR Generalist at NorthBay Health provides comprehensive human resources support across various operational areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. This role involves participating in organizational committees, building relationships with management and employees, and leading HR initiatives. The HR Generalist is integral to ensuring that the organization meets its mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources generalist support across assigned operations areas.
  • Participate in organizational committees and projects as assigned.
  • Conduct regular rounds in assigned areas to build relationships with management and employees.
  • Train on assigned human resources topics.
  • Lead or support human resources initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience (two years of college and five years of HR Generalist experience may substitute for the degree).
  • Minimum of five years of HR professional experience in the past ten years, with a background as an HR generalist in a non-union environment.
  • One year of prior experience in a hospital system.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to employment and EEO.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in instructional design and teaching.
  • Knowledge of compliance agency enforcement and administration processes.
