About the position

Howmet is a world leader in the investment casting industry and is a leading supplier of superalloys, aluminum, and titanium components for aerospace, automotive, and commercial transportation applications. Our Wichita Falls location is on the front edge of the rapid growth in the aerospace and turbine industries. Nestled halfway between Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, our facility in Wichita Falls supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry. The HR Generalist will be responsible for applying broad knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in several HR functions and processes. This role will involve assisting with various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy development. The HR Generalist will serve as a point of contact for employees' HR-related questions, providing accurate and timely information and guidance. Additionally, the role includes maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, focusing on change management, continuous improvement, organizational effectiveness, and organizational development. The position also requires managing Affirmative Action reporting and addressing compliance issues such as EEO/AAP, FLSA, and FMLA. Other duties may be assigned as required, emphasizing effective strategic communications and HR support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy development.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years experience in Human Resources with 2 years in manufacturing.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR, SPHR & MBA are a plus.
  • Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization.
  • Familiarity with HR practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
