About the position

The HR Generalist position at TreeHouse Foods is a vital role that provides comprehensive support to the organization in various human resources functions. This includes recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation, investigations, and management of the HRIS system. The HR Generalist will be responsible for performing full-cycle recruiting for designated departments, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, managing job postings, tracking AAP requirements, conducting job fairs, interviewing candidates, performing background checks, generating offer letters, and facilitating new employee orientation and onboarding activities. In addition to recruitment, the HR Generalist will conduct ongoing employee training on various topics, including interviewing techniques, performance management, and employee recognition. Maintaining a high level of visibility and accessibility is crucial, as the HR Generalist will interact regularly with all employees to promote a positive work environment. This role also involves coordinating employee activities and events to foster a supportive and engaging workplace culture. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a commitment to a 1st shift schedule, with a minimum of 9-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM. Shift hours may vary based on business needs, and the HR Generalist will need to be adaptable to these changes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle recruiting for designated departments, including SOX compliance, job postings, AAP tracking, job fairs, interviewing, background checks, offer letter generation, and new employee orientation.
  • Conduct ongoing employee training in various topics such as interviewing, performance management, and employee recognition.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility, accessibility, and interaction with all employees.
  • Promote a positive work environment through coordination of employee activities and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business is required.
  • A minimum of three to five years of work experience as a Human Resources professional in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management and labor/employment law.
  • Ability to interpret and administer company policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid to advanced-level computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and HRIS programs.
