About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Truvant in Haslet, TX, plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resource Manager in fostering a safe and positive work culture. This position is designed to provide comprehensive HR support and customer service to all employees, ensuring that their needs are met while also aligning with the company's policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining employee records, managing attendance, and facilitating the recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires. This role requires a proactive approach to communication with management regarding staffing and employee issues, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. In addition to administrative tasks, the HR Generalist will conduct pre-employment and post-accident drug tests, assist with benefits administration, and prepare various HR reports as requested. The position also involves organizing and promoting company engagement activities, which are essential for maintaining employee morale and fostering a collaborative work environment. The HR Generalist will serve as a point of contact for employees with questions or concerns, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, particularly within a manufacturing or distribution center environment, and will be bilingual in Spanish. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The HR Generalist will also be expected to stay updated on HR laws and regulations, ensuring that the company remains compliant while providing the best possible support to its employees.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with management regarding staffing and employee issues
  • Maintain employee records, upload, and file all paperwork
  • Partner with supervisors and managers on employee issues and corrective actions
  • Inform managers/supervisors on attendance concerns and issue attendance warnings
  • Update and maintain Timecards, Attendance and Paid Time Off in appropriate systems
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Conduct pre-employment and post-accident drug tests
  • Enter and maintain employee training records
  • Complete wage and employment verifications for requesting agencies
  • Assist with benefits administration and education for employees
  • Prepares reports and human resources information as requested
  • Organize and promote company engagement activities and functions
  • Assist employees with questions or concerns
  • Update company communication avenues
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
