About the position

Redpath USA Corporation, a premier full-service underground mining contractor, is seeking an enthusiastic and mission-driven Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Corporate HR Manager and other HR and Administrative Site Clerks to ensure the smooth operation of the Human Resources Department for our USA Operations. This position is critical in implementing human resources programs by providing a wide range of HR services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, labor relations, and assisting in immigration processing. You will also be responsible for completing various personnel transactions to support the HR function effectively. The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will be involved in various HR initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention, as well as supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization. This position is located at our Corporate Offices in Sparks, Nevada, and is not a remote position. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while managing sensitive employee information and HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement human resources programs by providing HR services including talent acquisition, staffing, and employment processing.
  • Manage compensation, health, and welfare benefits for employees.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives within the organization.
  • Maintain records management and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate succession planning and employee relations efforts.
  • Assist in immigration processing and complete personnel transactions as needed.
  • Support labor relations and compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in various Human Resources fields.
  • Working knowledge of employment/labor laws.
  • Proficient in MS Office products and HRIS systems.
  • Experience with ADP payroll and Oracle Fusion is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and a desire to work collaboratively with a results-driven approach.
  • HR certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle HCM is a plus.
  • Local candidates will be given preference.
