About the position

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the regional Human Resources Director and the corporate Human Resources team, payroll department, and recruitment department. In this role, you will be part of a group of committed HR professionals where you can utilize your education and skills while making a real impact as a strategic partner. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and updating employee files, preparing and maintaining employee new hire packets, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of the new hire process. You will also prepare employment status reports for payroll, HR, and compliance purposes, process and maintain all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absences. Additionally, you will provide services that include applicant sourcing, recruiting, and employee orientation, establish employee relations, and help maintain a culture of excellence. You will be responsible for doing payroll weekly, maintaining compliance for all regulatory bodies, enabling our employees to deliver the highest quality care to the patients we serve, and implementing and driving strategies for keeping each other safe. Furthermore, you will strategically plan and handle recruitment and retention functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the regional Human Resources Director and corporate HR team.
  • Maintain and update employee files including HR, Employee Health, Agency, and Contract Services.
  • Prepare and maintain employee new hire packets and ensure accurate and timely completion of the new hire process.
  • Prepare employment status reports for payroll, HR, and compliance purposes.
  • Process and maintain all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absences.
  • Provide services that include applicant sourcing, recruiting, and employee orientation.
  • Establish employee relations and help maintain a culture of excellence.
  • Perform weekly payroll processing.
  • Maintain compliance for all regulatory bodies.
  • Enable employees to deliver the highest quality care to patients.
  • Implement and drive strategies for keeping employees safe.
  • Strategically plan and handle recruitment and retention functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field required (commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree with Corporate HR approval).
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous HR experience in a healthcare facility with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS preferred.
  • Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
