About the position

The Human Resource (HR) Generalist at Reyes Holdings plays a crucial role in supporting the local HR team for assigned locations or functional areas. This position is responsible for the administration of employee records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing guidance on HR policies to employees. The HR Generalist is involved in the day-to-day management of all employees, supporting HR compliance initiatives to mitigate legal risks and ensuring adherence to legal standards. Key responsibilities include administering and executing various HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, engagement, health and safety, and HR training. The HR Generalist is expected to develop and maintain partnerships with employees at all levels of the organization, from frontline staff to senior management, depending on the assigned location(s). In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will provide cross-functional HR support across multiple departments, resolve both basic and complex HR issues, and engage in HR Workstream projects, community outreach, and employee engagement initiatives. The role also involves participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, and exit interviews, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by reviewing policies and practices and recommending best practices as necessary. Staying current with HR trends, employment laws, and regulatory changes is essential for this position, as is supporting employees represented by a union, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, engagement, health and safety, and HR training.
  • Develop and maintain employee partnerships with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Remain current with HR trends, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Support employees represented by a union, if applicable.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or HS Diploma/GED with 6+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience if holding a Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Positive and professional mindset with the ability to demonstrate trust, confidentiality, and good judgment.

  • Proficient with HR Information Systems, Timekeeping Systems, and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., UltiPro, iCIMS, Kronos).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
