About the position

The HR Generalist at Perfection Industrial Finishing will support various HR functions, ensuring smooth communication between HR and employees. This role involves maintaining employee records, processing documentation, and assisting in the recruitment lifecycle, including onboarding new hires. The ideal candidate will have a strong organizational ability and familiarity with HR software, contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc)
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Process payroll through QuickBooks
• Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
• Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
• Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
• Knowledge of labor laws
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communications skills
• Associate's degree
• 2 years of experience in human resources
