Your HR Adventure awaits. Come help shape the future growth of Johnson Outdoors by playing a key role within the Human Resources department. Located at our downtown corporate headquarters in Racine on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan, the person in this role executes and supports a variety of human resource functions that may include recruiting, benefits, talent development/training, employee relations, compensation, succession planning, compliance, safety, and record management. They provide guidance to management and employees on routine to moderately complex human resource issues, concerns, policies, and practices in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. The HR Generalist will administer assigned location's employee benefit programs including training employees, troubleshooting issues, and answering employee benefits questions. They will create recruiting plans for open positions and identify effective recruiting tools and sources. The role involves performing recruiting, new employee orientation, and onboarding for all levels of employees. The HR Generalist will provide routine to moderately complex counsel to managers and their employees on employee relations, HR programs, procedures, grievances, and/or employment-related issues. They will conduct routine to moderately complex employee relations investigations, analyze organizational health issues, and work in partnership with leadership to develop and execute plans to address problem areas. Additionally, the HR Generalist will facilitate learning and development programs and processes by facilitating sessions, assisting in the development of learning programs, and maintaining training records. They will assist in the overall development and execution of the performance management program, implementing, administering, and coordinating the performance review process, systems, and procedures. The role also includes performing routine to moderately complex analysis on the workforce, human resources trends, best practices, and compliance, developing various related human resources reports, presenting findings, and providing recommendations to management. The HR Generalist will coordinate and administer employee health, wellness, and safety plans and initiatives for the location, ensuring all human resources documents, files, and records are up-to-date and maintained according to company policy and relevant regulations.
