About the position

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in aligning business objectives with employees and management within designated business units. This position is responsible for addressing employee relations issues, recruitment, compliance, benefits, compensation, and coaching leadership. The HR Generalist serves as a change agent to drive business results, enhance the employee experience, and provide HR perspectives to business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a safety leader and prioritizes safety in all responsibilities.
  • Partners with business unit leaders to execute business plans and understand HR implications.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and increase productivity.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management and reduces legal risks.
  • Coaches and mentors managers on employee issues and performance management.
  • Responsible for recruiting, transfers, promotions, and terminations of employees.
  • Identifies training needs and participates in the evaluation of training programs.
  • Facilitates the onboarding program and ensures completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Follows established HR processes and administration within the HR system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • PHR or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Ceridian HR software.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement activities.
