About the position

The HR Generalist is an integral part of PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA. This role is designed for a collaborative individual who will be responsible for implementing various Human Resource initiatives and establishing functional excellence within the HR department. The primary focus of this position is to provide comprehensive HR support to the ITD business leaders, ensuring that HR programs and policies are effectively administered. The HR Generalist will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and deliver exceptional customer service to both employees and business leaders. In this role, the HR Generalist will provide general HR support to employees located globally within PACCAR's IT Division. This includes collaborating with HR leadership on projects that align with the strategic priorities of the organization. The HR Generalist will partner with managers on various HR functions such as compensation administration, performance management, onboarding and offboarding processes, and corrective actions, including investigations and attendance management. Additionally, the HR Generalist will be responsible for completing annual reporting for the Affirmative Action Program and staying updated on HR laws, regulations, and best practices. The HR Generalist will also coordinate the division's annual training plan, which includes curriculum design, development, and facilitation of training for managers and supervisors. They will administer compliance training programs and support positive employee relations through safety and wellness programs, employee survey analysis, and benefits communications. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will manage the division's Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, STD, PFML, and Worker's Compensation, while also overseeing safety and OSHA compliance programs through reporting and analysis. Other projects may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general HR support to PACCAR's Information Technology Division employees located globally.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on projects and initiatives that support the strategic priorities of the organization and division.
  • Partner with managers on compensation administration, recognition programs, performance management, corrective action including investigations & attendance management, onboarding & offboarding.
  • Complete annual reporting for the Affirmative Action Program.
  • Stay updated on HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers.
  • Coordinate the division's annual training plan, including curriculum design, development, and facilitation of training for managers and supervisors.
  • Administer and support adherence to compliance training programs.
  • Support positive employee relations and engagement through safety and wellness programs, employee survey analysis, and benefits communications.
  • Support annual goal setting, employee development planning, and performance appraisal process.
  • Act as project manager for employee engagement events including the annual Service Awards Banquet.
  • Manage the division's Leave of Absence programs including FMLA, STD, PFML, and Worker's Compensation.
  • Administer the division's Safety and OSHA compliance programs through reporting and analysis.
  • Handle other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources generalist experience.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plans, Safety and Worker's Compensation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and proactively meet deadlines.
  • Presentation and facilitation experience preferred.
  • Strong PC skills required, SAP, SharePoint and TEAMS desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Master's degree desired.
  • Professional Human Resources Certification: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP desired.
