About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the administration of human resources programs and policies and completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of our Batavia Plant (Oatka Milk Products). This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including strong employee relations experience, thorough handling of employee investigations, and administering employee performance management. The Generalist will implement new hire orientation, onboarding, and educate newly hired employees on company policies, internal procedures, and regulations. Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist will maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records. They will handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. The role also involves creating an employee engagement plan to foster the company culture, assisting with leave administration, EEOC Reporting, and Succession Planning. Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations is crucial, as is maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. The Generalist will interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions at our Batavia Plant, collaborating with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
