About the position

The HR Generalist will support the HR department in implementing and administering HR programs, policies, and procedures. This role will focus on full-cycle recruitment and ensure a seamless hiring process while handling general HR duties. The HR Generalist is a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for finding and retaining top talent. In this position, the HR Generalist will develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. They will manage the full-cycle recruitment process, which includes job postings, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates. Collaboration with hiring managers is essential to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on hiring decisions. The HR Generalist will also maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment databases, conduct background checks and reference checks, and coordinate participation in job fairs, career events, and networking opportunities to build a talent pipeline. Additionally, the HR Generalist will facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a positive and smooth transition into the company. They will conduct new employee orientation sessions to introduce company policies, procedures, and culture. Providing support to employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation, is also a key responsibility. The HR Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and maintain employee records while ensuring data accuracy in HR systems. Furthermore, they will support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proven experience with full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist role with significant recruiting responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
