About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Sagis, PLLC plays a crucial role in managing various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, compliance, and policy development. This position is responsible for ensuring a positive work environment and supporting the HR Director in maintaining compliance with labor laws while managing employee data and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating new hire onboarding.
  • Facilitate orientation programs and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist in addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Support managers with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401K retirement plan, and other benefits.
  • Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and provide support during open enrollment.
  • Responsible for coordination with Accounting department in ensuring accuracy of payroll data before transmission of file.
  • Verify holidays, vacation, bonuses, new hires and terminated employee hours are correctly reported.
  • Regularly demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
  • Assist HR Director in ensuring organization is compliant with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with internal policy and legal requirements.
  • Manage and update employee data in the HRIS system.
  • Generate and analyze HR-related reports, including turnover, days to fill, and diversity metrics.
  • Complete EEO-1, Vets 100 and other governmentally mandated reports.
  • Support HR team in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
  • 3 plus years of HR experience mandatory.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of PayCom payroll and HR system.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and benefits administration.
  • Willingness to engage with people at all levels of the company and learn the business.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness.
