About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at LSG Sky Chefs plays a crucial role in managing and administering HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and addressing employee relations issues. This position is integral to the recruitment process and employee engagement activities, supporting both union and non-union employees within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of HR policies and programs for union and non-union employees.
• Administer HR policies and procedures including employee benefits and wage increases.
• Source, recruit, interview, and select quality employees for various positions.
• Act as primary driver of hourly recruitment and retention activities, developing staffing plans and analyzing recruitment data.
• Serve as the first line liaison with employees, facilitating resolution of concerns.
• Assist in the administration of grievance procedures as required.
• Support drug and alcohol testing programs as required.
• Audit clerical activities for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Deliver and facilitate required training and development programs.
• Assist in planning and rollout of employee engagement activities.
• Attend unemployment hearings as needed.
• Assist with miscellaneous HR functions as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field preferred, or equivalent experience required.
• One to four years of HR experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization, both oral and written.
• Practical knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

Nice-to-haves

• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Team-oriented individual with strong leadership ability.
