The HR Generalist role at MHX, LLC is a vital position responsible for the administration and execution of Human Resource programs within the company. This position is designed for a mid-level professional who is detailed and organized in record keeping and data analysis. The HR Generalist will be approachable in matters of employee engagement and relations, demonstrating solution-seeking collaboration and sound judgment when providing guidance rooted in compliance with company policy and employment law. The HR Generalist will report directly to the HR Manager and will regularly collaborate with various departments including Safety, Accounting, and Operations. In this role, the HR Generalist will maintain organized personnel records and ensure that the HRIS system is updated to comply with legal requirements. They will read and interpret company standards, practices, policies, procedures, government regulations, healthcare plan documents, and laws, exercising sound judgment when providing consistent guidance to employees. The HR Generalist will also ensure compliance with labor regulations, including the ordering, distribution, and posting of required compliance notices and literature at each company location. The HR Generalist will be responsible for creating job postings, sourcing candidates for hiring managers, pre-screening candidates via phone, scheduling interviews, preparing hiring paperwork and letters for hiring managers, and collaborating with Safety regarding the status of background and medical clearance. They will ensure that candidates complete the HRIS onboarding process and will close job requisitions and ads when filled. Additionally, the HR Generalist will oversee the successful onboarding of new employees, including pre-hire communication, I-9 verification processing, and coordination of workspace and equipment between the hiring manager and Technology department. This position also involves administering leaves of absence and return-to-work processes and documentation, serving as the first point of contact for employees with benefit-related questions, and preparing and maintaining related benefits records and reports. The HR Generalist will collaborate to plan and host company-wide engagement initiatives, such as recognition events, and support the distribution of company-sponsored apparel. Administrative responsibilities will include providing timely responses to employment verification requests, collecting and filing discipline documentation, processing HR vendor discrepancy reports, and ensuring compliant offboarding processes. The HR Generalist will also provide support for internal and external HR-related audits and perform other duties as assigned.
