About the position

SUGARED + BRONZED is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support both corporate and in-store leadership in effectively managing talent, policies, and procedures. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing HR policies that foster a positive work environment, resolve conflicts, and align with the company's objectives and goals. The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in overseeing employee relations across the organization, providing coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues, and conducting HR investigations tactically and judiciously. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, manage the company's HR Information System (HRIS), and administer employee benefits and compensation. This position also involves responding to unemployment claims and managing the offboarding process for departing employees. As SUGARED + BRONZED expands into new markets, the HR Generalist will prepare to meet HR and payroll requirements, run and audit payroll to ensure timely and accurate employee payments, and maintain a supportive and engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, particularly in supporting a large workforce across multiple states, and will be passionate about creating a positive employee experience. Responsibilities

  • Oversight of employee relations across the company while providing coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues
  • Conduct HR investigations tactically and judiciously
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Manage and update S+B's HRIS
  • Administer employee benefits and compensation, and respond to unemployment claims
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees
  • Prepare to meet HR and Payroll requirements in new markets as S+B expands
  • Run and audit payroll to ensure employees are accurately paid on time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of proven experience in an HR capacity supporting 350+ hourly employees in multiple states
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • HR Certification preferred
  • Experience with HR software and systems (Rippling HRIS)
