Apply today to be part of the excitement! Allied Universal Event Services, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Human Resources Generalist. This position is responsible for employment compliance, manager and supervisor HR related training, background adjudications and compliance for the Allied Universal Event Services business group. This position will ensure all human resources processes, practices, compliance, technology, and tools are used in the field to maintain stated region HR goals and reduce turnover. This is a remote hybrid position. This position may require some overnight travel (10-15 %). The salary pay range for this role is $50,000 to $54,000 a year.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and assuring compliance in hiring practices, personnel documentation, and other compliance items (e.g. licensing, performance evaluations, LDW report, etc.)
  • Monitoring of employee terminations, assessment of documentation supporting terminations, and responses to the Department of Labor for unemployment claims
  • Participation in employee retention and human capital management activities
  • Coach managers, HR designees, and others who have HR responsibilities across all business locations
  • Support the regional HR team and Legal team on sensitive investigations
  • Complete background adjudications and criminal review process for candidates and existing employees
  • Manage and assist with onboarding activities for large new account starts and acquisitions
  • Assure compliance with programs are being appropriately administered regarding licensing, I-9s, leaves of absences, vacations, personnel file maintenance, status changes, performance evaluations, terminations, etc.
  • Process offer letters and facilitate onboarding of administrative employees
  • Oversee general HR administrative tasks and manage activities for a team of HR Coordinators
  • Act as administrator for HR employee transactions in ABI system
  • Provides day to day general Human Resources support and training to branch employees, branch management staff, and hiring specialists
  • Assist branches with processing high volume employee new hire entry for large account starts or acquisitions, as needed
  • Assist with employee data entry, including new hire set up and personnel data updates including changes to employee information on file, status changes, rate changes, and direct deposit changes
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure employee changes are completed properly; respond to questions and inquiries from management staff and employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with a minimum of 2 years of human resources experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree (four years or more of human resources experience)
  • Current state driver's license, clean driving record (less than 2 points in prior 18 months), minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle required
  • Minimum of one (two) year of administrative, human resources, employee onboarding, employee relations experience
  • Understanding of multi-state employment law requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior HR or recruiting experience in a service or security industry business or large service organization
  • Work experience conducting employee onboarding in a high-volume setting
