About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at KI Industries Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the effective functioning of our HR department and our day-to-day people-related operations. This role encompasses a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, performance management, compliance, and policy implementation. You will partner with and support the rest of the HR team to address the everyday needs of employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient HR operation. A key requirement for this position is being a subject matter expert in talent acquisition and recruitment, which will involve managing the full-cycle recruitment process from job postings and candidate sourcing to conducting interviews and facilitating onboarding for both manufacturing and corporate roles. In addition to recruitment, you will handle employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to resolve issues effectively and maintain a positive work environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and legal requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This includes managing risk and updating HR records to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date. You will also coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities across different departments, conduct performance management activities such as performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning. Furthermore, you will facilitate payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations, while maintaining employee records and HR systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Your communication expertise will be crucial in delivering the company's messages to employees, and you will demonstrate superb customer service to client groups while collaborating effectively with other HR stakeholders. Regular communication with the Executive Director of HR will keep you informed on trends, risks, or more serious issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in human resources roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment and corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, regulations, and compliance.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, employee relations, training, and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in speaking Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess analytical ability and the ability to write complex and confidential correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to client groups and management.
  • Able to solve problems quickly and resolve issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in speaking Spanish is highly preferred.
