About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Select Specialty Hospital, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the Human Resources department. This position is integral to the coordination with the regional Human Resources Director and the corporate Human Resources team, as well as the payroll and recruitment departments. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR functions, ensuring that the hospital maintains a high standard of employee relations and compliance with regulatory bodies. You will be part of a dedicated team of HR professionals, where your skills and education will be utilized to make a significant impact as a strategic partner in the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating employee files, which include HR, Employee Health, Agency, and Contract Services. You will prepare and maintain new hire packets, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the new hire process. Additionally, you will prepare employment status reports for payroll, HR, and compliance purposes, and process all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absence. Your role will also involve providing services such as applicant sourcing, recruiting, and employee orientation, establishing employee relations, and helping to maintain a culture of excellence within the organization. You will be expected to perform weekly payroll duties and maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies. Your efforts will enable employees to deliver the highest quality care to the patients served by the hospital. Furthermore, you will implement and drive strategies aimed at ensuring a safe working environment while strategically planning and handling recruitment and retention functions. Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the regional HR Director and corporate HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field required (commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree with approval from Corporate HR).
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous HR experience in a healthcare facility with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS preferred.
  • Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
