About the position
The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting various Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and training across the organization. This hybrid position is based in Portland, Oregon, and requires a proactive approach to managing HR tasks while ensuring compliance with employment laws and practices.
Responsibilities
- Support all Human Resources functions including recruiting for assigned departments.
- Facilitate onboarding and training across the organization.
- Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools for training purposes.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in Recruiting and/or Training.
- Working knowledge of employment practices and applicable State and Federal employment laws.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS databases.
- Demonstrated strong, effective, and diplomatic interpersonal skills with employees of all levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Possess problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to come to work on time and daily.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Camtasia and/or Articulate preferred.
