About the position

As an HR Generalist at Dillanos Coffee Roasters Inc, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process, overseeing payroll, and facilitating onboarding for new hires. Your role will also involve providing employee support on HR-related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and maintaining accurate HR records. Additionally, you will manage employee leave requests and assist in planning company events to foster a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Oversee the payroll process, including preparing and processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, processing new hire paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with planning and executing company events, such as holiday parties, team-building activities, and company outings.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related issues, such as benefits enrollment, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR, payroll, and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, benefits records, and payroll records.
  • Manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant laws while maintaining accurate records and timely communication with employees regarding their leave status.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and SHRM-CP preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on hiring and employee relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
