James Moore & Co., P.L. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. This full-time position is integral to supporting the Firm's core HR functions, which encompass employment practices, benefits administration, workers compensation, HRIS management, performance management, and employee relations. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for effective communication with employees, managing employee paperwork and files, and creating processes to enhance the efficiency of the Human Resources department. The role requires a proactive approach to researching, developing, revising, and recommending HR best practices, policies, and procedures. In this position, you will assist with the evaluation process for both annual and mid-year reviews, which includes creating and updating evaluation forms, setting up semi-annual processes, and preparing reports. You will also support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring transparent communication between new hires, hiring leaders, and all stakeholders involved. Additionally, you will aid in the enrollment of all benefit programs, acting as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve inquiries and ensure compliance. The Human Resources Generalist will maintain accurate information in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), query and audit data, and compile reports as needed. You will also participate in the development of department goals and objectives, and assist in coordinating the Firm's Wellness Program.
