About the position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to ensure adherence to County policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements across divisions at Gracedale Nursing Home. This role involves tracking attendance issues and coordinating the interpretation and application of relevant policies and agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains system to track employee attendance and disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews shift reports to identify personnel actions for tracking and follow up.
  • Provides information to department heads, managers, and staff on issues related to employee attendance and discipline.
  • Provides overall support to Gracedale Human Resources Department.
  • Cross trains with other staff to learn relevant systems and processes.
  • Assists the Deputy Director of Human Services with low-level disciplines.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree; OR at least five (5) years of advanced clerical work involving the use of Excel and Kronos.
  • At least one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional work experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Kronos.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of public human resources management principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
