About the position

We are an industrial company seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will effectively and efficiently spearhead all assigned HR initiatives focusing on recruitment and retention, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, talent development, and training strategies in accordance with our core values and overall organizational objectives. This role is crucial in ensuring that our HR strategies align with business goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture. The Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support and services, ensuring employee satisfaction and managing employee relations, benefits, and compensation inquiries. This includes overseeing the hiring, onboarding, and termination processes, as well as coordinating recruitment efforts, including strategies for attracting passive job seekers. The role also involves administering employee training, safety programs, and compliance requirements, while addressing employee relations issues and advising management on policies. In addition, the HR Generalist will maintain HR systems and records, generate reports, and plan employee engagement activities to monitor morale and foster a positive workplace culture. The position requires representing the company in legal matters and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Flexibility is essential, as the HR Generalist will need to adapt work schedules to business needs and ensure there is an HR presence across all shifts. The role encompasses a wide range of HR functions, from administrative tasks to strategic planning, and may include other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive HR support and services, ensuring employee satisfaction, and aligning HR strategies with business goals.
  • Managing employee relations, benefits, and compensation inquiries, partnering with the appropriate support departments as needed.
  • Overseeing hiring, onboarding, and termination processes.
  • Coordinating recruitment efforts, including passive job seeker strategies.
  • Administering employee training, safety programs, and compliance requirements.
  • Addressing employee relations issues and advising management on policies.

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience within Human Resources Management.
  • Proven experience working in industrial or factory environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience working within HRIS systems.
  • The ability to practice sound judgment with effective organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
  • In-depth understanding of Human Resources principles with demonstrated confidence in applying them.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to function with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • The ability to foster positive working relationships with all levels of the workforce through effective communication and collaboration.
