Watson Furniture Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team at our Poulsbo, Washington location, known as The Orchard. This role is essential in supporting our employees and ensuring that our HR department continues to shine in its engagement with every team and individual across the company. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the smooth operation of our HR functions. Your primary responsibilities will include recruiting and onboarding new employees, managing labor and industries (L&I) processes, overseeing benefits and leave management, and providing basic employee relations support. You will also serve as the first point of contact for our production team regarding HR support, administer our HRIS, and handle various other HR tasks as they arise. This position requires a proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the organization. To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of HR experience, or a 2-year degree with 4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A solid understanding of basic labor laws, problem-solving skills, and positive interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with HRIS systems and strong organizational and time management skills will also be critical to your success.
