As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in administering human resources policies and programs while balancing employee advocacy with business operational needs. Your primary focus will be on promoting equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. You will provide comprehensive HR support to a designated client group, which includes recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, proactive issue identification and resolution, and coaching for effective leadership decision-making and communication skills. Understanding and supporting the accomplishment of business priorities will be essential in this role. You will be responsible for building credible relationships with Business Leaders to facilitate better decision-making and enhance organizational effectiveness. It will be your duty to ensure that company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout your area of responsibility. You will effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures, ensuring that all employees are informed and compliant. In addition to these responsibilities, you will perform various employee relations functions, including providing support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem-solving, and dispute resolution. You will manage employee performance issues and review termination requests, conducting investigations as necessary. Handling workers' compensation, maintaining the first report of injury database, and overseeing safety regulations will also fall under your purview. You will coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs, including the Transitional Work Program and Accommodations Process. Conducting health and welfare benefits open enrollment meetings and employee training sessions on benefits, policies, and procedures will be part of your role. Ensuring timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database and payroll for your designated client group is crucial. You will also perform audit and compliance functions as requested, maintain employee records in accordance with state and federal requirements, and participate in various HR committees to resolve employment challenges. Additionally, you may assist in managing bonus plans, merit processes, and the annual budget planning process, as well as recruiting and staffing from internal and external sources as needed.
