About the position

The Human Resources Generalist position at Executive Personal Computers, Inc. (EPC) is a vital role within our North Las Vegas facility, where we prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility in IT asset disposition. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of HR functions that support our employees and the overall operations of the company. This position does not require night or weekend work, nor does it involve mandatory overtime, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. In this role, you will respond to and resolve administrative inquiries related to payroll and attendance, ensuring that our employees have the support they need. You will collaborate with the facility manager to assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for open positions. Your responsibilities will also include administering human resource programs, which encompass compensation, leave management, and performance management. You will maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing policies and practices to ensure adherence to best practices. Additionally, you will attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, providing necessary support and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential for success in this role. You will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive workplace culture and supporting our commitment to employee development and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries related to payroll and attendance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience with a strong customer service component.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Specialized coursework in general office practices such as typing, filing, and accounting.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
