As a Human Resources Generalist at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's HR functions within our Central Business Office located in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring that our employees are well-supported throughout their employment journey. You will be responsible for facilitating onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees. Your role will also involve managing employee relations and performance issues, as well as participating in the management of health and welfare, and retirement plans. In this position, you will serve as a primary point of contact for client queries, efficiently managing and escalating issues as needed. You will provide guidance and counsel to leaders and employees around employment issues, facilitating and monitoring Family Medical Leave, Leaves of Absence, requests for accommodation, employment verifications, workplace injuries, Short- & Long-Term Disability, and worker's compensation claims. Additionally, you will support leadership in department reorganizations, new job descriptions, and performance management initiatives. Your active participation in Open Enrollment activities, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement will be essential to the success of our HR programs. You will also be responsible for interviewing employees and leaders to gather information regarding factors that affect workforce morale, motivation, and efficiency. Coordinating the internal transfer process with department managers and employees will be part of your responsibilities, along with maintaining, updating, and refining our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures. You will also handle job requisitions and prescreening of candidates for various positions as assigned.
