The Human Resources Generalist position at First Brands Group is designed to provide comprehensive support to site leadership under the guidance of the Human Resources Director. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including recruiting and retention, compensation, benefits administration, compliance, risk management, performance management, employee relations, safety, and maintaining HRIS integrity. The HR Generalist serves as a crucial advocate for both management and employees, interpreting and administering policies while helping to resolve work-related issues effectively. Key responsibilities include the development and implementation of recruiting and retention strategies, utilizing various sourcing methods to ensure that job descriptions remain current. The HR Generalist will consult with employees and management on employee relations matters, demonstrating strong skills in addressing both minor and complex issues. This role manages the entire employee life cycle, from talent acquisition to onboarding, training, development, performance coaching, and exits. The HR Generalist is also tasked with creating and delivering strategies that promote an inclusive and cohesive workplace culture, ensuring that employees are engaged and productive. In addition, the HR Generalist will manage workers' compensation claim processing, interpret and execute policies and procedures, and assist employees with all group benefit programs. They will oversee leave of absence processes and provide guidance to site leadership, while maintaining daily HR activities in accordance with organizational expectations. The role requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding employee and company information, as well as conducting investigations and providing insights for resolving complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or other issues. The HR Generalist will also assist with various employee needs, including discipline and counseling when necessary.
