About the position

As a Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) at Select Specialty Hospitals, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the Human Resources department in collaboration with the Human Resources Director and the corporate HR team. This position is essential in ensuring that our hospital provides exceptional care to our patients by supporting our employees in their roles. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating employee files, including HR, Employee Health, Agency, and Contract Services. Your duties will also include preparing and maintaining new hire packets, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the new hire process, and preparing employment status reports for payroll, HR, and compliance purposes. In addition to these tasks, you will process and maintain all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absence. You will provide services that include applicant sourcing, recruiting, and employee orientation, while also establishing employee relations and helping to maintain a culture of excellence within the organization. Your role will involve weekly payroll processing and maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies, enabling our employees to deliver the highest quality care to the patients we serve. You will also be responsible for implementing and driving strategies for keeping each other safe and strategically planning and handling recruitment and retention functions. This position requires a resourceful and results-oriented team player who can overcome obstacles and thrive in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the Human Resources Director and corporate HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field required (commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree with approval of Corporate HR).
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous HR experience in a healthcare facility with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS preferred.
  • Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
