Praxis Technology is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Queensbury, New York. In this role, you will support the Vice President of Human Resources in various HR administration tasks and people projects. You will be the primary point of contact for all staff-related inquiries, including benefits, payroll, recruitment, and meeting coordination. Your contributions will help foster a positive company culture and support our employees in their professional development. You will be responsible for coordinating monthly company-wide meetings, managing employee perks, and supporting the end-to-end recruitment process. Additionally, you will assist in performance management, benefits administration, training and development, HR reporting, and general HR administration tasks. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with people and is eager to make a positive impact on our company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all staff-related inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, data updates, recruitment, and meeting coordination.
  • Support, plan, and lead efforts related to company culture and core values.
  • Coordinate monthly company-wide meetings.
  • Manage annual employee perks such as gift cards and other gifts.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Process and file all new hire paperwork and coordinate new hire orientation sessions.
  • Assist in the performance appraisal process and filing of reviews.
  • Perform data entry for all employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of benefit premiums with accounting.
  • Schedule employee development programs and trainings under the advisement of the VP, HR.
  • Assist in HR-related reporting requirements and metrics, including ACA reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and manage the background check screening process.
  • Serve as payroll administrator backup and process HR-related documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience with people and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Bamboo HR and ADP is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations in HR.
