About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Texas Frac serves as a key business partner to the local management team, overseeing various human resources functions including staffing, training, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and compensation. This role is integral in implementing strategic HR initiatives and requires collaboration with the corporate HR team. The position involves travel within Texas and to the corporate office in Wisconsin, reporting to the corporate Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provides human resources advice and consultation to employees and management, including coaching on performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Responsible for employee recruiting, selection, background checks, and pre-employment screenings.
  • Implements and monitors company policies and programs in training, compensation, compliance, and benefits.
  • Oversees maintenance of employee information including personal data, compensation, and performance reviews.
  • Handles worker's compensation intake processing and employee leave administration.
  • Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates employment activities with division operations and corporate HR staff.
  • Assists in investigations regarding employee complaints and incidents.
  • Participates in management meetings to influence personnel-related decisions.
  • Identifies training needs and develops training programs, including new hire orientation and safety training.
  • Assists Safety Department with record maintenance and training facilitation for federal agencies.
  • Provides administrative support to other areas as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner roles.
  • Associates Degree minimum preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of federal/state regulations such as DOL, IRS, ERISA, NLRB, FLSA, PPACA, FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, EEOC, FMCSA, DOT, MSHA, OSHA.
  • Ability to work independently and solve issues with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational skills and dedication to timely project completion.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in Spanish highly desired.
  • Team-oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills.
