About the position

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center, and Champions Square. This position is crucial for managing various HR functions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for preparing action forms for new employees, department transfers, and separations. Additionally, the role involves conducting E-Verify reviews for new hires, performing background checks on job applicants, and completing employment and wage verifications. The individual will also process garnishments and focus card requests, manage changes in direct deposit, and schedule and conduct orientations for both full-time and union employees. In this role, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will assist new hires in completing orientation packets and will interpret the Human Resources policies and procedure handbook, as well as the business conduct policy. The position requires responding to various employee inquiries via email and phone, and completing tasks as assigned by the assistant manager or manager. The successful candidate must be available to work events as scheduled, which may require flexibility in hours and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of personnel and human resources principles and procedures, along with excellent customer service skills. A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources or a related field is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential, and familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday and ADP is preferred. The physical demands of the job include moving around the facility, standing for long hours during events, and the ability to communicate effectively with others. This position may require work both inside and outside of the building, depending on event needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, or minimum 3 years of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Knowledge of personnel and human resources principles and procedures.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work events as needed.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred knowledge of HRIS: Applicant Tracking and Processing Software, such as Workday and ADP.
