The Human Resources Generalist is an established performer that supports various HR functions and initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the organization. This role collaborates with the HR team to deliver comprehensive HR services and offers guidance and support with functional areas including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices. As a point of contact for employee relations matters, the HR Generalist addresses concerns and provides guidance, facilitating conflict resolution and fostering a positive workplace culture. They maintain an intimate understanding of the organization departments and the business to build positive and productive relationships between all employees and leadership. The HR Generalist ensures legal compliance by monitoring, communicating, and interpreting applicable HR federal, state, and company requirements, laws, and regulations. They assist in the performance management process, including goal setting and performance reviews, and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters. The role also involves facilitating the administration of the company's diverse compensation programs that include both exempt and non-exempt employees. The HR Generalist keeps HR management informed and seeks direction and advice from management on more complex and controversial issues. They conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing feedback to management based on exit interview findings. Additionally, they facilitate the implementation of small-scale HR projects, events, and programs, analyze trends, and provide summary reports to management. Serving as a trusted HR advisor to employees and managers, the HR Generalist provides guidance on HR-related matters, stays informed about HR trends and best practices, and advises managers on the interpretation of employment law. Other duties may be performed as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential people data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
