About the position

The HR Compliance Specialist at Altec Industries is a full-time role focused on ensuring that the company's HR policies and practices comply with federal and state regulations. This position is essential for promoting an ethical workplace culture and involves monitoring regulatory changes, assisting in policy development, and managing compliance reporting. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a dynamic environment and balance legal requirements with organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Compliance Manager with monitoring and ensuring compliance with HR regulatory changes from state and federal authorities.
• Serve as backup to the HR Compliance Manager for AAP (OFCCP) and federal reporting (VETS 100A, EEO-1).
• Research and draft HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR Compliance Manager.
• Ensure consistency in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures with HR Partners.
• Manage Altec Alert Line oversight, including investigating sensitive issues and documenting results.
• Communicate key trends in Altec Alert Line complaints and recommend improvements in training for supervisors and associates.
• Handle local, state, and federal contract bid submissions pertaining to employment statistics.
• Assist with completion and/or renewal of state compliance certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2 years of applicable experience in HR compliance or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as an HR Generalist.
• Labor and Employment Compliance experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
