About the position

The Human Resources (HR) Manager position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role focused on supporting a client in the Industrial Services sector. This position involves developing and implementing standard operating procedures for the HR department, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and is based in Riverview, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the HR department
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements after SOPs are established
  • Assist in managing and streamlining hiring and termination processes due to industry requirements
  • Support the HR Director and HR Admin in their day-to-day operations
  • Prepare for open enrollment procedures and assist during open enrollment day
  • Utilize Paylocity for payroll, applications, onboarding, and open enrollment processes
  • Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Oversee the administration of benefit functions
  • Enhance communication processes within the HR department

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in a Human Resources role or similar
  • Proficiency in Benefit Functions
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Compliance regulations and laws related to HR practices
  • Experience in managing Employee Relations
  • Familiarity with Hiring Processes and best practices
  • Proficiency in using Paylocity HR software is a plus
  • Experience in Process Improvement within the HR department
  • Knowledge of Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with labor laws and employment legislation is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity
