About the position

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist at Hobby Lobby is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies while supporting management in resolving employee concerns. This full-time role involves advising on personnel issues, facilitating compliance with ADA guidelines, and serving as a resource for management regarding employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise managers on appropriate actions regarding personnel issues in accordance with laws and company policies.
  • Work with management to resolve employee concerns and complaints.
  • Facilitate interactive processes in compliance with ADA guidelines.
  • Serve as a resource for management regarding compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of federal employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA.
  • At least 3 years of experience advising on employment law compliance and human resources policies.
  • Experience facilitating the Interactive Process under the ADA.
  • Experience investigating employee complaints.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
