About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources team at the Kansas City Chiefs. This position is designed for an entry-level candidate who is eager to learn and grow within the field of Human Resources. The coordinator will assist with a variety of projects that are essential to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. In this position, the Human Resources Coordinator will be involved in the recruiting and onboarding processes for part-time employees, seasonal employees, and interns. This includes assisting with employment verifications and file management, as well as managing the Seasonal Assistant program, which encompasses event planning, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. The coordinator will also support the HR team in creating and executing content for LinkedIn, as well as organizing staff events and programs that enhance employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will be expected to respond to staff and employment inquiries promptly and assist with various organizational and special projects as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruiting and onboarding processes for part-time employees, seasonal employees, and interns.
  • Assist in completion of employment verifications and file management.
  • Assist with management of Seasonal Assistant program (ie: event planning, onboarding, engagement).
  • Assist with merchandise ordering, budgeting and inventory.
  • Assist the Human Resources team with ideation and execution of LinkedIn content.
  • Assist with employee relations initiatives (ie: staff events, birthday program, anniversary program, etc.).
  • Respond to all staff and employment inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform organizational and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams required.
  • High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands by establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Human Resources, Sports Management or related discipline.
  • Prior experience working in Human Resources, Sports Management and/or collegiate or professional sports.
  • Experience with Dayforce.
