About the position

Gilbane is one of the largest family-owned Construction Management firms in the country, and we are looking for a Human Resources Intern for the summer of 2025. This is a full-time, paid opportunity that will give you hands-on experience in various aspects of Human Resources. You will also have the flexibility to work from our Headquarters in Providence, RI or our office in Boston, MA. As an HR Intern, you will be part of our People First Strategy, which means you will work on exciting projects that align with your interests and goals. You will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with our internal Human Resources teams in areas such as recruiting talented and diverse candidates, utilizing recruitment channels to identify and evaluate potential candidates, conducting initial screening interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit, supporting our U.S. Immigration & Domestic Assignment program, creating a positive and engaging employee experience, and using data and analytics to drive people decisions. Throughout the internship, you will also have the chance to network with senior leaders, receive feedback and coaching, and participate in fun and meaningful events. You will not only grow your skills and knowledge, but also your confidence and career prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting talented and diverse candidates
  • Utilizing recruitment channels to identify and evaluate potential candidates
  • Conducting initial screening interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit
  • Supporting our U.S. Immigration & Domestic Assignment program
  • Creating a positive and engaging employee experience
  • Using data and analytics to drive people decisions

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or similar degree
  • Prior internship experience within the field of study is preferred
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Attention to detail and prioritization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
