About the position

The Human Resources Internship at Parker provides college students with real-world experience in various HR functions. Interns will support the HR department by contributing to projects, assisting in organizational development, and promoting ethical standards while applying continuous improvement measures to HR processes. This internship is designed to help develop promising students and prepare them for future careers in human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in HR generalist responsibilities including onboarding processes, record keeping, and auditing.
  • Support social responsibility and event planning initiatives such as team member recognition programs and community outreach.
  • Administer HRIS and sort/process incoming resumes.
  • Schedule interviews and maintain the College Recruiting Microsoft Teams site.
  • Update career pages on the company website and schedule information sessions.
  • Market employment opportunities to target audiences and assist in planning summer internship workshops/events.
  • Conduct research related to college recruiting and generate reports.
  • Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with internal and external clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related business field, preferably with an HR Minor.
  • At least two years of undergraduate coursework completed.
  • Excellent administrative skills and detail-oriented.
  • Personable and able to interact comfortably with a variety of people.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service through various communication methods.
  • Strong project management skills to support multiple projects simultaneously.
