About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Sysco plays a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) and leadership to effectively implement local initiatives and execute regional and corporate programs. This position is essential in creating an environment that attracts, develops, retains, and engages talent throughout the organization to achieve business goals. The HR Manager will be responsible for providing technical support, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects, ensuring that the HR functions align with the overall business strategy. In collaboration with the HRBP, the HR Manager will execute core HR processes, including performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, and the interactive process of transitional return to work. This role also involves coaching and guiding leaders and associates on HR policies and procedures, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture, and managing employee and labor relations, including investigations and conflict resolution. Additionally, the HR Manager will support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures. They will assist in determining training needs and developing programs aimed at improving performance and professional development. This position requires a proactive approach to managing HR functions and ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
  • Partner with Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to execute core HR processes such as performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, and the interactive process of transitional return to work.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Drive an inclusive and diverse culture in partnership with HRBP.
  • Manage employee and labor relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in determining training needs and developing programs to improve performance and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position preferred.
  • Experience working with attorneys, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in current employee-related laws including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Title VII, etc.
