About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Mission Foods in Pendergrass, GA, is responsible for providing comprehensive HR services to the plant's management and employees. This role focuses on the acquisition, development, deployment, and retention of human resources while aligning with the company's strategic goals. The manager will establish effective relationships with plant leadership, oversee employee relations, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with the plant manager and staff to achieve business strategy and goals.
  • Provide HR services to all plant employees, including payroll, benefits, record-keeping, employee relations, and career development.
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes for vacant positions in the plant.
  • Conduct onboarding for new employees and offboarding for departing employees.
  • Coach employees and management in effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and participate in safety committee meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve performance and conduct issues with employees.
  • Conduct training for management and employees on workplace policies and professional development topics.
  • Oversee the performance management program and compensation planning.
  • Administer employee records in accordance with corporate and legal guidelines.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of HR programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of applicable business experience in human resources, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience in human resources generalist roles within consumer food production environments.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and project analysis.
  • SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
