About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Sysco Chicago, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) and leadership in implementing local initiatives and executing regional and corporate programs. This position is focused on creating an environment that attracts, develops, retains, and engages talent to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to execute core HR processes such as performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leaders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support recruitment and staffing plans.
  • Drive an inclusive and diverse culture in partnership with HRBP.
  • Develop, implement, and administer programs to enhance associate engagement and satisfaction levels.
  • Manage employee and labor relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison for Worker' Compensation (WC) and Liability claims, ensuring initial reports are entered into RisxFacs.
  • Determine training needs and develop programs to improve performance and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position preferred.
  • Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
  • Experience with Systems Applications and Products (e.g., SAP, Workday) preferred.

  • Experience in Workday or similar HR systems.
