About the position

The Human Resources Manager-Designate position at McLane Company is a pivotal role designed to provide and manage human resources services, programs, and policies that are essential for attracting, retaining, training, and developing qualified teammates. This position is considered a training role, with the expectation that the individual will relocate to another McLane division as needed. In this role, the Human Resources Manager will work closely with division leadership to assess the required people resources, identify training needs, and recognize leadership talent for succession planning. The manager will ensure compliance with all company and government regulatory standards in human resource governance. Additionally, the position involves implementing and administering teammate benefits programs, enhancing awareness of these programs among teammates, and assisting with the budgeting process for training, safety, benefits, and other initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for administering the compensation policy and managing day-to-day salary administration and planning. This role may include additional duties and special projects as assigned, making it a dynamic and integral part of the organization’s human resources strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and manage human resources services, programs, and policies.
  • Attract, retain, train, and develop qualified teammates.
  • Ensure compliance with company and government regulatory standards.
  • Work in partnership with division leadership to determine required people resources and training needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 7+ years of human resources experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft.
