About the position

As the Human Resources Manager at Levy, your primary focus will be to support the Human Resources function to meet the needs of both the business and our associates. You will take the lead role in various functional areas including associate relations, HR-specific training, legal requirements and compliance, and the development and revision of HR policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will also include following up on associate engagement survey action plans, monitoring performance and merit increases, hiring non-exempt associates, and managing data associated with bonus administration. In this role, you will ensure that all company HR-related policies are applied consistently and will coach associates and management through complex and difficult issues. You will provide guidance on appropriate disciplinary actions and assist with on-site investigations. Additionally, you will oversee the MyOpportunity program for hourly recruitment and onboarding, maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs, and ensure compliance with all federal and state laws. You will regularly run and review HR activity reports, support the internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation and feedback process, and attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility. Conducting classroom training and implementing HR initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities. You will review requests for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency, process status change forms, and prepare and present HR-related topics and training. As a diversity champion, you will lead assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities, including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals. You will also assist in creating Personal Development Plans for associates and participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
  • Three plus years human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
  • HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required.
  • Previous experience in a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Training certification a plus (i.e. Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey, etc.).
