About the position

The Human Resources Manager for the Operations Division at E. & J. Gallo is responsible for providing consultative HR guidance and support across multiple business functions. This role involves implementing HR policies, managing a team of HR representatives, and partnering with various HR Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment with business strategies and successful outcomes. The manager will also facilitate talent management, succession planning, and labor relations while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides consultative HR guidance and support to multiple business functions.
  • Implements human resource policies, projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Supports organizational planning, development, coaching, and change management.
  • Partners with HR Centers of Excellence to provide employee services.
  • Manages and directs a team of human resources representatives.
  • Drives alignment of HR processes and policies to support business initiatives.
  • Facilitates talent management and succession planning.
  • Coaches employees and leaders on managing employee issues.
  • Coordinates with Organizational Development to assist in self-assessments and performance assessments.
  • Aligns talent strategies by identifying staffing needs.
  • Works with the business to evaluate and recommend new HR approaches and policies.
  • Maintains relationships with union leadership and ensures compliance with labor relations policies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree plus 4 years of HR business partner or generalist experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of HR experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of Gallo HR experience; OR High School diploma plus 10 years of HR experience.
  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Experience working with all levels of management.
  • Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree plus 6 years of human resources business partner experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of HR experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting safety rules and corporate policies.
  • Experience supporting a union environment.
  • Ability to facilitate and drive strategic discussions.
