About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Valley Metro is responsible for leading recruitment strategies that align with the organization's growth. This role encompasses overseeing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and assessments to onboarding, while optimizing processes and enhancing the candidate experience. The manager will provide mentorship and guidance to a dynamic team, fostering expertise in job analysis, effective candidate evaluation, and building strong stakeholder relationships. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a high-performing recruitment function to ensure staffing success for Valley Metro's current and future needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment strategies that align with organizational growth.
  • Oversee the recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and assessments to onboarding.
  • Optimize recruitment processes and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a dynamic team.
  • Foster expertise in job analysis and effective candidate evaluation.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop a high-performing recruitment function to support staffing success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Six (6) years of professional experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, including leading recruitment processes and managing teams.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong full-cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Experience in strategic workforce planning and data-driven decision-making.
  • Highly collaborative with demonstrated experience in multiple HR disciplines.
  • Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill positions (technical, leadership, etc.).
  • Proficiency in implementing inclusive recruitment practices to attract and engage a diverse candidate pool.
  • Proven experience in team management and mentoring to foster staff development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree is desirable.
  • Desirable certifications include: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP; Talent Acquisition Strategist (TAS); LinkedIn Certified Professional - Recruiter; or Certified Employment Interview Professional (CEIP).
