About the position

The Human Resource Manager will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of human resources within the food processing plant. This includes overseeing recruitment, employee relations, safety programs, payroll, and benefits administration, ensuring a compliant and supportive work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee administrative functions within the plant human resources.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits for hourly employees and review weekly payroll.
  • Coordinate employee parties, recognition programs, fundraisers, and other functions.
  • Manage plant health and safety programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct regular safety audits for process, infrastructure, and behavioral compliance and improvement.
  • Manage and guide the accident investigation process and develop and deliver annual safety training and monthly shift safety trainings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in safety program management.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Certification in human resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR).
